It's time Propane Cannons
were Banned in British Columbia
The Ban
the Cannons group
is dedicated to stopping extreme noise abuse from blueberry farms in
the Fraser Valley of British Columbia, Canada. These farms use
(((( EXCEPTIONALLY LOUD )))) bird
scare devices called propane cannons in an attempt to keep birds away
from their berry crops.
A number of groups have studied the effectiveness of propane cannons and they all conclude
that cannons are ineffective, but blueberry farms continue to blast away,
annoying residents all across the valley. It makes no sense!
There are many effective alternatives for deterring birds
but these
facts are ignored by our Ministry of Agriculture staff members and by the BC Blueberry Council and their member farms.
Cannons are the loudest device available, so they must be the best device, right?
And who cares about the people living nearby!!
