It's not that bad.......yet!

But... it may very well affect you in the future and by the time you decide you can't take it anymore, it's going to be too late. At that point, those cannons will be entrenched and protected by Right to Farm Legislation that is next to impossible to change. It's time to join Ban the Cannons and fight this noise problem right now.

If you aren't yet affected by a cannon or similar noise-maker, be thankful. Some people may live within earshot of a propane cannon and they might think, "It's not that bad."

If that faint boom you hear from over the hill every 15 minutes "isn't that bad", can you imagine a point where it would become "that bad"? What would it take?

How about that same faint boom 100 times louder?

How about a sound like a shotgun blast in a field next to your house - every 5 minutes - all day long?

How about 3 triple shot cannons operating in the same nearby field, all set on automatic timers with each one detonating three times every 5 minutes from 6:30 in the morning until 8 at night? That comes to a total of 99 blasts per hour, and 1336 blasts per day.

Think it will be "not that bad" then?

Don't scoff... this is a very real possibility, or worse, and there's nothing in the law that can stop anyone from doing it as long as it's in the name of agriculture. At my home we have three cannons on an adjacent farm that fire every 5 minutes all summer long, so this is real life for us. Don't think people won't do the absurd, because they will. Don't think common sense or governments will protect you, because they won't!
