What was once peaceful rural living in Greendale, BC (part of Chilliwack) is no longer so. More blueberries are being planted here and the noise of the propane cannons is becoming more irritating. I have been in touch with Nazam the past few years and if he visits the farmers, sometimes it seems to help for a bit.
Yesterday he apparently stopped in on the one farm and said he had set up things differently. However, it seems to be worse than ever today and sometimes I feel this particular farmer changes the timing as soon as Nazam is gone. We will see today if things are actually quiet between 12-3 (they haven't been so yet).
How far away is Chilliwack from having an enforcement officer who can fine blueberry farmers if they are repeat offenders? What do I do and how can you help me? If only the volume would be lower, that would be helpful. Anyhow, thanks for all you are doing to ban cannons.
