Thank you for your excellent coverage of the blueberry farmers’ arsenal of noise-makers that is scaring away more than birds from Cloverdale.
I timed this week the single-shot propane cannons nearest me, which are required by law to sound once every five minutes, and they were going off every 30 seconds.
This is just one violation among many, but no farmer in Surrey has been fined.
Living in what is now sounds like a “war zone” makes summer time very unappealing.
Neighbours have considered moving to Afghanistan for relative peace.
