On Moday, March 31, 2008, MLA Randy Hawes presented a motion in the BC
legislature proposing a phase out of propane cannons by blueberry farms
throughout the province.
The exact wording of Randy's motion is as follows:
Mr. Hawes to move --
Be it resolved that this House supports a phase out date for the use of propane
cannons on blueberry farms, while working with the industry to develop and
implement alternatives that balance the needs of the blueberry industry and the
rights of those living adjacent to blueberry farms.
This is fantastic news for long suffering propane cannon victims in the Fraser
